1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for and participating in the 100xNepal Web Development Hackathon ("the Event"), you ("the Participant" or "the Team") agree to abide by all the terms and conditions stated herein, as well as the Code of Conduct, Event Rules, and any instructions communicated by the organizers during the event.
Failure to comply may result in disqualification, removal from the event premises, or forfeiture of prizes.
2. Eligibility
- •Participants must be aged between 16 and 25 years at the time of registration.
- •Participation is open to students and early-career developers residing in Nepal.
- •Each team must consist of 2 to 5 members.
- •Participants must register online before the deadline. Walk-in registrations will not be accepted.
- •Shortlisted teams will be notified officially via email or phone.
3. Team Composition and Participation
- •Teams must be self-formed prior to the event or formed through the registration process.
- •Each participant may be part of only one team.
- •Once teams are finalized, changes will not be allowed after registration closes.
- •All members must be physically present at the venue for the entire duration of the 24-hour hackathon.
4. Project Requirements
- •Projects must be developed entirely during the 24-hour event period.
- •Participants may use open-source libraries, frameworks, or APIs with proper attribution.
- •Any project found to be pre-developed, plagiarized, or copied will be immediately disqualified.
Projects must not contain or promote:
- •Offensive, illegal, or harmful content
- •Hate speech, discrimination, or defamation
- •Content violating copyright, trademark, or privacy laws
5. Judging and Evaluation
Projects will be judged based on:
- •Creativity & Innovation
- •Functionality & Usability
- •Design & User Experience
- •Real-world Impact & Relevance
- •Judging will be carried out by independent experts chosen by the organizers.
- •The decision of the judging panel will be final, binding, and not open to appeal.

- •All participants will receive Certificates of Participation and free T-shirts.
- •The prizes are non-transferable and subject to applicable taxes (if any).
- •The organizers reserve the right to substitute or modify the prize structure without prior notice.
7. Intellectual Property (IP) Rights
- •All intellectual property rights of the project developed during the event shall remain with the respective teams.
- •By participating, each team grants the organizers a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, promote, or publish project materials for marketing, educational, or documentary purposes.
- •Participants must ensure that their project does not infringe on any third-party IP rights. The organizers shall not be held liable for any IP-related disputes.
8. Use of Image, Name, and Likeness
By attending the event, you consent to the use of your name, photograph, video, and voice recordings for promotional and documentation purposes by 100xNepal and its partners.
No additional compensation will be provided for such use.
9. Conduct and Disqualification
- •Participants must follow the Code of Conduct and maintain respectful behavior throughout the event.
The following may result in immediate disqualification:
- •Harassment, bullying, or discrimination
- •Cheating, plagiarism, or use of pre-built projects
- •Damage to venue property or misconduct
- •Violation of event rules or instructions from organizers
The organizers reserve the right to remove any individual or team violating these terms at any time.
10. Venue Rules & Safety
- •The event venue is a non-smoking, alcohol-free, and drug-free zone.
- •Participants must wear event IDs/bands and T-shirts throughout the event.
- •Organizers and security personnel have the authority to inspect belongings for safety reasons.
- •100xNepal will not be liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal property.
11. Meals, Accommodation & Facilities
- •Meals and refreshments will be provided as stated in the event schedule.
- •Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the venue.
- •Basic rest areas will be available, but participants are encouraged to bring personal essentials (e.g., sleeping bags, chargers, toiletries).
12. Privacy Policy
- •The personal data collected during registration (e.g., name, contact number, email, institution) will be used only for event administration, communication, and post-event opportunities.
- •100xNepal will not share participant data with third parties without consent, except where required by law.
13. Liability Disclaimer
- •The organizers, sponsors, and venue partners shall not be held responsible for any injury, loss, or damage (personal or property) arising during participation in the event.
- •Participation is voluntary, and each participant assumes full responsibility for their actions and safety during the hackathon.
14. Cancellation or Postponement
The organizers reserve the right to cancel, postpone, or modify the event schedule, prizes, or format due to unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, technical failures, or safety concerns.
In such cases, participants will be notified promptly.
15. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Nepal.
Any disputes arising out of or related to the event shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Kathmandu, Nepal.
